Sremski Karlovci, located on the right bank of the Danube, is a town with significant architectural-stylistic and cultural-historical value. The town’s rich history and heritage make it a valuable location for preservation and development. This urban transformation consists of 4 components: Landscape design of the historic city center of Sremski Karlovci, Facade conservation, Market square and Reconstruction of the Ešikova?ki Stream. Landscape design involves comprehensive planning, including the construction and reconstruction of infrastructure systems networks. Moreover, modifications to traffic regimes are planned to improve safety for all users, alongside the integration of hardscape and softscape elements. The project aims to address several issues, including poor infrastructure, deteriorating facades, a lack of greenery, and underdeveloped public areas. New trees will be planted along the streets, and damaged green areas will be revitalized. The lighting design is inspired by traditional street lanterns. Bio Architectural studio DBA was founded in 2007 in Novi Sad, Serbia, with the basic idea that as a platform for creating and managing projects through all phases, contributes the development of contemporary architectural scenes of the city in terms of form, expression and in a symbolic sense, as well as technically concrete and as contractor rational and effective. The studio was founded and is now run by architect Djordje Bajilo (1978, Novi Sad).
