From the outset, we approached the project with a deep respect for the context: the geography of Korcula, the traditional use of materials like stone and plaster, and the unique coastal light that filters through olive groves and reflects off limestone.
The goal was not to dominate the environment, but to invite it in. Every material, finish, and layout choice was made to strengthen that conversation between architecture and nature — inside and out. The interior is conceived as an open flow of textures and light, sculpted into a calm palette that reflects the surrounding cliffs, sand, and sun-bleached surfaces. Functionality was not an afterthought in this project — it is one of its driving forces. Rather than enclosing space, we used volume, proportion, and materiality to define different functions within the open-plan layout.
Above all, "Korcula Essence" is a wellbeing-centric space. Every design decision contributes to mental ease and physical comfort. The result is a home that feels meditative but alive — a place where architecture quietly disappears, and the person becomes central.
