This project explores the expansion, and the relationship between the physical and the subliminal spaces. Studying masses and voids to understand that the architecture of the Favelas, is the capture of framed moments in time.
This study recognizes the interpretation of the typology as a motionless pause while dispersing through alleys and streets. In a labyrinth where echoes of people differs masses and voids, defining a pulsating fabric.
The monument is an interpretation of the existing organized chaos, taking over the transparent boundary of the growth. The intervention happens in the gap of the two masses, between the built and the unbuilt. Arriving to the reflection of the form, in which adapts the idea of how the houses are built.
The project happens in two phases, a representation of the physical, and a projection of the subliminal. Where in between there is a moment of hope, a moment of curiosity about the shift in perception.
The architecture response in an abstraction of the contrast of elements in motion and a stationary moment, meaning the growth over time and a moment of pause, on the edge.
Bio Architecture awakened new
senses in my ability to reason,
with culture, language
and art as the main factors
for communication. With
that, learning how to express
myself through design
cooperating with the
environment/landscape has
been a lifetime experience.
