Digital Disjunction and Rhythmic Recovery
This project proposes a vertical rehabilitation center for internet addiction, located in Taipei’s Neihu Technology Park. With proximity to major interchanges and transport hubs, the site provides regional and international accessibility, enabling the center to serve as a recovery hub across Asia.
The building is stratified by treatment phases: upper levels contain high-control medical units, middle levels support rehabilitation and physical training, and lower levels offer social and daily activity spaces. Spatial density and circulation respond to the evolving rhythm of interpersonal interaction, aiming to restore users' temporal, bodily, and emotional awareness.
Surrounding urban conditions reflect fragmentation, consumption, and isolation. The site, though on the margin of various developments, becomes a pivotal point for reconnection. Through rhythmic spatial programming and therapeutic sequencing, architecture acts as a process of healing, transforming a disconnected individual into a socially reintegrated presence.
