The Forest First concept : We see the landscape as a living system of interdependency that is born of nature and culture. We are committed to sustainability and the artful balance of urban nature, and performance landscape that also creates a sense of place.We believe that the forest park’s planting system must be adapted to the increasing uncertainty of local climate change; it must adapt to urban development. Leškopoljska Gorica Forest Park sees these challenges as a means to enable a blue-green lifestyle to flourish in Podgorica and attract creative talent to live in the surrounding communities, when a more mobile workforce will have a choice of different regional large centers. The project plan strongly promotes the future health of Podgorica’s ecological environment, and also provides a corresponding reference for similar environmental restoration projects in other regions.
Planting system and biophilic design are cornerstones of our work.By making planted systems and trees an integrated and striking part of our work, we aim to connect people to nature and to open the public up to new possibilities for recreation, wellness, stewardship and learning.
