Boilerhouse Prime is an upscale steakhouse, cocktail and raw bar overlooking Purdue’s Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex. Inspired by golf’s surreal landscapes, the design explores the balance between untamed nature and refined course geometry. The space honors Purdue legends and iconic course designers Alice and Pete Dye, blending sport, prestige and history into a layered high-end clubhouse.
Interior architecture mirrors the course’s sweeping lines, with a standout ceiling featuring concentric, layered, asymmetric coves. FF&E references golf’s Scottish roots with tartans, leather banquettes, wood paneling and Purdue-themed décor. A large central bar, with a stacked, lighted bottle display reaching the ceiling, anchors the space. Rounded corners evoke putting greens with integrated seating. The dining room contrasts the bar’s curves, connected visually via a double-sided fireplace. Dark wood paneling, patterned floors, club-style chairs and elevated banquettes add richness. The contrast between dark millwork and the bar’s white mosaic tile and stone-look top reflects a refined blend of tradition and modernity.
