The interior of the national cuisine restaurant Buyan is created in a Russian style. The name of the restaurant refers to the enchanting, mythical island mentioned in A. Pushkin's fairy tale, while the beloved story from childhood, where reality intertwines with fantasy and good always triumphs over evil, serves as the primary source of inspiration for the design. Every decision made is intentional and rich with imagery drawn from Slavic folklore and its characters, immersing guests in a unique world and creating a cozy atmosphere conducive to family meals.
The main challenge was to create an interior that embodies the unique style while continuing the concept of a warm family restaurant, immersing guests in an atmosphere of comfort and childhood memories. We harmoniously integrated elements of Russian style into a modern, technologically advanced space, delicately combining craftsmanship, tradition, and fairy-tale motifs. The space needed to be designed as transformable—foldable partitions featuring images of heroes and light fabric panels would delineate part of the hall into a private area.
