Wanwea· Yuan Restaurant, designed by DaQuan Wang of TANZO Space Design, is a spatial masterpiece where architecture, nature, and human experience converge. The design transforms the site into a poetic landscape, redefining the relationship between presence and absence. Inspired by traditional Chinese philosophies yet free from rigid stylistic constraints, the space flows seamlessly from exterior courtyards to meticulously crafted interiors, blurring boundaries between East and West.
The interplay of light, shadow, and materiality is central to the design. A hand-hammered 386kg copper bar, mirrored surfaces, and sculptural stainless-steel installations create a dynamic yet serene ambiance. Architectural gestures, such as the parametric metal leaf and the soaring "chimney" entrance, evoke a sense of movement and transformation. Fire-lit private rooms, immersive wine-tasting spaces, and reflective water features further enhance the sensory experience.
Wanwea· Yuan Restaurant is not just a restaurant—it is a living, breathing space where ancient imagination meets contemporary poetry, inviting guests on a journey through time, culture, and nature.
