The Standard is famed for its irreverent & immersive take on hospitality, from Hollywood to NYC & London, all with mid-century modern DNA. The Standard Singapore is set in a lush green enclave, paying homage to Singapore as a “City in a Garden”.
Curving walls adorned with warm timber battens sweep through the double-heighted space, and draw you from the playful Reception to the Cafe Standard, where plant-filled nooks with an inviting bar, quirky couches and cocktails await. The custom-designed light installation floats above: a colour-filled anti-chandelier channelling a distinctive mid-century modern vibe.
The abundant greenery continues through to Kaya Restaurant where nature playfully takes over, enveloping guests into an oasis. Lush creepers drape from the ceilings, and quirky pendant lights are nestled within. The swim-up pool bar’s greenery is an extension of Kaya's immersive botanically-inspired experience.
While the public areas provide quirkiness, the 143 rooms continue a sense of playfulness while being restful, reflecting the Standard’s design approach: simple, timeless design re-interpreted & refreshed to utilize local materials & mid-century modern sensibilities.
