This 150 m² family apartment in St. Petersburg was designed for a couple with three children. The main challenge was to create a functional and comfortable home that integrates a cherished family heirloom — a grand piano — into the living space. The apartment is divided into public and private zones. The public zone includes an open kitchen-living room where the piano becomes a central visual and emotional element. A bay window area in this zone serves as a workplace that can be visually separated by curtains.
A multifunctional wooden core became the centerpiece of the layout. It contains a guest bathroom, wardrobe, and part of the kitchen, helping to optimize internal pathways. The design balances modern eclecticism: natural wood meets stainless steel, clean lines contrast with vintage and contemporary art. The atmosphere reflects the intellectual spirit of the city and the personal story of the family, showing how thoughtful design supports everyday life and shared moments.
