WATER AS A CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL
It defines cities, separates continents, gives rise to civilizations, and is capable of making them disappear. Water has always been a fundamental factor. It has defined everything from the way we eat to the way we live in our cities, as well as the construction materials and techniques that protect us from it.
Considering that the eco-duct is defined based on its interaction with water networks and natural catchments, the project proposes using water as a transformative element, obviating the natural oxidation reaction with steel. Adding the time factor to the design formula will make it a collective experience to observe how the pavilion transforms in colors and textures according to the seasons. The pavilion's oxidation will be what flowers are to the eco-duct, the irrefutable triumph of nature over tectonics.
Part of the architectural program is based on a central block that houses the classroom for workshops, as well as the bathroom and storage room.
