The designer has restored and renovated a 4-storey house from the 1930s, seeking a balance between restoration and new work, living and working, new and old. By inserting a highly functional wooden box between the second and third floors which is involve the function of desk, bookcase, wardrobe, window openings and handrails are integrated into the design. In the meanwhile, a three-storey atrium is created, thus dividing the space and increasing daylight. The first arrivals walk through the living room and look up to find an atrium hidden away.
